Cleanup to Protect Oakland
LiquiDonate partnered to sponsor this community cleanup alongside Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul Soccer Clubs and Corona USA. Led by local organizations Save the Bay and Oceanic Global, volunteers picked up 120 pounds of trash and 480 pounds of plastic waste. The most surprising finds include a kiddie pool, pieces of a car, and a whole carrot cake still in plastic packaging. Together, we supported protecting the ocean and coastal habitats from harmful debris that can negatively impact our waterways.

Corona USA is committed to help Protect Our Beaches worldwide through a pledge to clean 100 beaches and remove 1 million pounds of plastic. At the same time, Corona is also focused on identifying where their business can transition away from plastic in areas like events, packaging, and merchandise to meet the criteria outlined in Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard.
