CEO, LiquiDonate
Disney Petit is a social impact entrepreneur and environmental activist, and the Founder and CEO of LiquiDonate, a software that matches unsellable returns and overstock inventory with nonprofits and schools. Prior to LiquiDonate, Disney was employee 15 at Postmates, where she started the Civic Labs team, Postmates' social responsibility arm. She also created Bento, a food security product that gives free food via SMS to hungry people without access to a smartphone. In 2021, Bento won her the Time Magazine Invention of the year award.
Due to the rise of ecommerce, customer returns are one of the most costly processes for retailers. On average, every returned item costs a company $33. In addition, the shipping distances for some items to be returned and restocked often make it cost prohibitive to even accept a return, leading to “keep it” returns and the increase of fraud.
Fortunately, innovative software technology has been developed to provide solutions to these problems. On this call, tech veteran and founder of LiquiDonate Disney Petit will break down the numerous supply chain challenges and present various new solutions that can help retailers significantly lower costs.
