The partnership will enable LiquiDonate to expand and strengthen its 50-state partner network and become a key asset in helping Room & Board meet its ambitious sustainability goals. Included among those goals is the company’s dedication to donating 2% of its annual profits to nonprofits committed to environmental, community, and arts-focused causes.

Room & Board is also focused on diverting operational waste. They plan to reach 100% renewable electricity use in their operations and divert 90% of their operational waste by 2030. These goals underscore how seamlessly its values align with LiquiDonate’s place as an innovative climate-tech partner.

One of the most natural fits for the two organizations is how LiquiDonate’s extensive partner network can help facilitate donations near Room & Board’s locations across the U.S, which exist in the following major metros:

  • Austin
  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Charlotte
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Denver
  • Los Angeles
  • Minneapolis
  • New York
  • Portland
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Washington D.C.

And, since keeping home goods close to home is a cornerstone of retail sustainability, LiquiDonate’s tech-enabled donation platform and community engagement commitment align with Room & Board ensuring that 90% of their designs are manufactured in the United States. Keeping manufacturing local while simplifying and coordinating community-based donations keeps items local, reduces emissions, and diverts operational waste.

LiquiDonate’s partnership with Room & Board will make it easier for the independent furniture retailer to make significant impacts on local communities while maintaining its commitment to creating exceptional home goods. And, as both organizations expand their collective reach, circular economy participants will have more (stylish and sustainable) options than ever before.
