How do I donate?

Anyone can post an item(s) for donation by uploading it directly to https://liquidonate.com/donate. Simply fill out the form with the requested information and post. When a recipient orders your item(s), you will receive a text message to directly message with the recipient and coordinate pickup.

What can I donate?

You can donate anything on the platform.

Can I get more information about the item before I order?

At the moment you can only access the information that the donor has uploaded. We encourage donors to upload quality photos and information to give you everything that you might need to make a decision on your order.

Where will my item go?

LiquiDonate prioritizes item donations going to nonprofits and schools in your area. If we are not finding a quick match for your item, we may also open it up for a community member who needs it.

What nonprofits and schools do you work with today?

We work with a number of organizations around the country including but not limited to local mutual aid organizations and nonprofits, the SPCA, national nonprofits like TNTP and more.

How do nonprofits sign up?

Simply sign up for an account to order. Additional benefits for nonprofits who sign up are coming soon.

Where are you currently active?

LiquiDonate is active across the United States.

Is LiquiDonate a nonprofit? Can I get a guaranteed tax receipt?

LiquiDonate is a for profit marketplace that matches nonprofits and schools with gently loved items nationwide. We can not guarantee a tax receipt, but if your item is matched with a nonprofit organization we can provide you their name to reach out for a potential tax receipt.

I heard you work with retail stores. How can I get donations from retail stores?

Our retail store partners donate directly to nonprofits and schools. Please join our email list to be notified when you can sign up for those donations.

How do I ship my items once they are matched?

LiquiDonate automatically connects donors and recipients via text message to coordinate pick up of the items. If you decide to ship the items between yourselves, that is up to you.

Can I request that my item be matched with an organization in a specific region or to support a specific cause?

At the moment your item will be matched with someone who needs it, and there is no way to request a specific organization. We prioritize on-boarding nonprofits and schools, but ultimately, we want to keep items out of the landfill, and your item will go to someone in the community.

My nonprofit or community organization would love to participate! What are the requirements?

Nonprofits and community organizations simply sign up for an account with LiquiDonate. Please sign up for our mailing list to learn more when more specific benefits are available.

What is the delivery range?

Our current website does not offer delivery, although you can do what you’d like to coordinate the fulfillment of the order. If you would like support coordinating a delivery, please email us at support@liquidonate.com.

Do you have a mobile app?

Right now LiquiDonate.com fully functions on web and mobile.

How much does it cost to donate an item?

For an individual donating an item on the free marketplace through our liquidonate.com/donate form, there is currently no fee. Retail stores can refer to liquidonate.com/retail for more information about pricing structures and technology integrations that are available for multi-item donations.

Who can shop for goods on your site?

At LiquiDonate.com anyone who can use the item and keep it out of the landfill is eligible to order the item. We focus on notifying nonprofits, community based organizations, and mutual aid groups. For items that are from the returns counter at retailers, the organization must be a registered nonprofit.

Is LiquiDonate a nonprofit organization?

LiquiDonate is not a nonprofit organization, although we work with many.

Who are some of your customers?

We host donations from individual donors through massive companies and retailers. Our recipients include everyone from social workers and community organizers to national nonprofits.

Will you pick up my items and post them for me?

If you are donating an item or items valued at $1000 or more, we may be able to pick up the items and post them for you for a fee. We do not have a storage facility, so this is on a case by case basis. One of the goals of LiquiDonate is to be efficient with our fleet and moving the item twice (once from your location and then once to the customer) increases our emissions.

LiquiDonate’s mission is to keep gently loved quality items out of the landfill and into the hands of the community.

Our service currently operates in all 50 states and Washington D.C.

What is a sustainable social impact?

Sustainable social impact is the practice of doing good in a way that benefits people and the planet long-term. We aren’t just here for short-term solutions. We are here to make a lasting difference as an active and easy part of the circular economy.

How does LiquiDonate work?

LiquiDonate uses a matching algorithm to connect people in the community representing nonprofits, community-based organizations, and mutual aid groups to businesses that have excess items. Businesses win by keeping items out of the landfill, benefiting from all the good that community groups do in the world with their life-changing work, and having a turnkey social impact solution.

I have items that need to be gone today. Can LiquiDonate help?

It is possible but we can not guarantee it. If you have an item that needs to be gone today, please email us at support@liquidonate.com and we will see what we can do to help.

What do I do if I no longer have a use for the item(s) I ordered?

Please email support@liquidonate.com to let us know that you need an order canceled. Be sure to include your name and the item(s) to cancel. Soon you will be able to cancel your own order as needed.

Is there a limit to how many items I can take for my nonprofit?

No. Please take as many items as you need and can use.

How many items at a time can I post to LiquiDonate?

You can post one item at a time at LiquiDonate.com but you can list it with multiple quantities.

What items are of the highest need?

Our partners vary from homeless shelters to schools to horse rescues, so if you have an item, we most likely have a home for it. Items that always go fast are items that are:

  • New and Like New
  • With Tags
  • Well Photographed
  • Usable Technology (Laptops, Cellphones)
  • Office Supplies
  • Furniture
  • Are there specific types of items that LiquiDonate will not take?

    You can post whatever you’d like, but the items in new and like new condition are the ones most likely to go the quickest.

    If you can’t take my item(s), where are some other places I could take them?

    You can post whatever you’d like (within reason), but the items in new and like new condition are the ones most likely to go the quickest.

    How long do I have to pick up my items and what happens if I can’t pick them up right away?

    We ask you to pick up your items within 48 hours, but you can coordinate directly via the automated and private text message that generates when an order is placed.
